GAAC is pleased to present the latest AERODROMES UPDATE.
Garden Villages are mentioned more than is desirable as the pressing need for housing, and no protected “Network of Airfields” yet, sees airfields increasingly being singled out as development sites. Popular training airfields such as Andrewsfield and Fairoaks feature persistently on the list but it’s good to see a glimmer of light for Panshangar.
Bruntingthorpe and Chiltern Park have been added since the last update, in June, when Thurrock was a surprise addition with a spattering of airfields for sale being another feature. Bruntingthorpe will become a car storage site.
Also noted is the demise of Bourne Park.
